Awit 46:10

“Keep calm and carry on,” ang sabi ng maraming posters or t-shirts.

In English, it reads, “Be still… and know that I am God.”

Be still? Meaning stop?

Just be still and marvel at the powerful victory of God in the war against the enemy.

Dito mas angkop ang paalala na “Be still.” Gawin mo ang nararapat na test and then leave the rest to God.

Naghahanap ka ng trabaho? Mag-apply and then wait for God to intervene in the application process. Huwag na maghanap ng padrino sa kumpanya. Ang Diyos ang iyong Padrino.

You have a difficult exam coming up? Mag-review nang mabuti. Wake up early, take a bath, eat a good breakfast, and get ready to take the exams. Then yield to the power of God to see you through.

This is the true essence of being still and knowing God in the process.

LET’S PRAY

Lord, forgive me for the times that I could not be still before You. For striving and fighting on my own. Now, I just want to be silent before You. I lift this burden to You and trust that You will show Your power and goodness. Amen.

APPLICATION

Read Psalm 46 in English and Tagalog. Just rest, relax, and let go. Amid the silence, listen to God and experience the victory that can only come through Him.
