Anuman ang inyong ginagawa, gawin ninyo nang buong puso na parang sa Panginoon kayo naglilingkod at hindi sa tao.

Mga Taga-Colosas 3:23

Narinig mo na ba ang term na “Quiet Quitting”?

The idea behind quiet quitting is this: gawin mo lang kung ano ang trabaho mo. Do not go the extra mile. Protect your peace and maintain your boundaries.

While this idea might seem logical and appealing, maraming tao ang gumagawa ng quiet quitting sa maling paraan. Instead of only protecting their boundaries and avoiding overworking, they start forming and spreading negative opinions about their company. Ang ending, hindi nagiging masaya sa workplace. Napupuno ito ng grumbling at murmuring. This wrong mindset about working, if we are not careful, can also affect other areas of our lives.

There are legitimate work-related concerns that may cause burnout and dissatisfaction. Maaaring ito ay dahil sa maling pamamalakad ng managers o unfair expectations or tasks we are asked to do outside of office hours. But instead of quiet quitting, why don’t we try to look at our work from a godly perspective?

First, see how our current work is a blessing. Aside from allowing us to earn a salary, working can give us confidence. May nagtiwala sa ating isang kumpanya para makapagtrabaho tayo. We can consider new responsibilities as stepping stones for future success and significance. It is a sign that we are being trusted by our employers who see our potential for growth. And most importantly,  we should look up and thank God for it. Anuman ang work na meron tayo ngayon, ito ay biyaya ni Lord. We must do our jobs well because we ultimately work for God and not only for people.

Doing our work is one of the ways we worship God. So let’s work wholeheartedly!
