Ituturo mo ang landas na patungo sa buhay, sa piling mo’y madarama ang lubos na kagalakan; ang tulong mo’y nagdudulot ng ligayang walang hanggan.

Lagpas kalahating oras na si Lindy sa kaka-encode ng data sa bagong information system na ginagamit niya, pero laging may error kapag ini-encode niya ang isang required piece of information. Sinusundan naman niya ang instruction sa screen, pero hindi nagwo-work kapag ginagawa niya. Mali ba ang pag-intindi niya sa steps na dapat gawin? Sinubukan niyang huwag sundin ang instruction at gawin ang sariling diskarte. But in spite of many trials, laging errors pa rin. Then, a light bulb moment came. Naalala niya na may user’s guide ang system, kaya agad niya itong binasa at sinunod ang tamang steps. She finally got it right.

Many of us go through life thinking we can manage by ourselves, or at least survive, without the help of others. We rely on our own stock knowledge or experience. When problems come, we solve it alone, o kapag hindi na natin kaya, saka tayo lumalapit sa iba para humingi ng tulong. Nalimutan na ba natin na may user’s guide na ibinigay si God to show us the way to live?

Jesus declares that He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Siya ang ultimate, reliable, foolproof user’s guide sa buhay. When we become believers of Jesus, we become children of God the Father, and He promised to lead us through His Spirit of truth (Romans 8:14; John 16:13; 14:26). God also providentially made sure that we will have in our hands a physical copy of His plans, purposes, promises, and prescriptions for life. It is the Bible, the Holy Scriptures, the Word of God. Bakit hindi mo ito basahin palagi at intindihin — hindi lang tuwing may ito-troubleshoot ka, kundi para kahit walang problema, alam mo ang tamang hakbang sa buhay.
