Genesis 41:51

Is learning to forget the most underrated way of healing? What if God has already blessed you with the ability to get healed from your past? Would you receive this kind of cure?

Sa librong Forgetting: The Benefits of Not Remembering, itinuro ni Dr. Scott Small na ang normal forgetting in contrast to forgetting because of aging ay napakahalaga para sa isang healthy brain, just like remembering. Forgetting is a form of healing that gives us mental flexibility and helps us to prioritize what to emphasize and what to let go of.

Joseph named his firstborn Manasseh — a Hebrew name which means “to forget.”

Joseph forgot his tragedies by focusing on the faithfulness of the Lord in his life.

Your trials are not forever. God is inviting you now to be healed from your past and current pain, unresolved trauma, and life’s tragedies. God can make you whole.

LET’S PRAY

Lord, regardless of the depth of my pain, I trust in your healing power. Let me experience Your faithfulness through the grace of forgetting and letting go. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

APPLICATION

Whenever you recall painful scenarios, jot them on sticky notes and add a strikethrough or cancel mark. Then, pair each with God’s corresponding promise.
