Aray! Ang sakit!

The feeling of pain is something everyone is familiar with. Kapag nababangga ang ating paa sa lamesa o nasusugatan tayo, nakakaramdam tayo ng sakit. We sometimes wish that the pain will immediately go away. But did you know that pain is not an enemy? It indicates that something is wrong that needs our attention. If we don’t feel pain, mas malaki ang chance na mapahamak tayo.

This is true for those with congenital insensitivity to pain or CIP. This rare disease affects how they feel physical pain: they don’t! Many of them live short lives because medical emergencies, such as appendicitis, heart attack, or bone fractures, go completely unnoticed. Hindi kasi sila nakaramdam ng symptoms. We must pay attention to the pain we feel. Second, God is close to those experiencing pain and heartaches. He can heal our sicknesses and restore our broken pieces.
