Sinabi nina Shadrac, Meshac at Abednego, “Mahal na haring Nebucadnezar, wala po kaming masasabi sa inyo tungkol sa bagay na ito. Gawin ninyo kung iyan ang gusto ninyo. Ang Diyos na aming pinaglilingkuran ang magliligtas sa amin sa naglalagablab na pugon at mula sa inyong kapangyarihan. Kung hindi man niya kami iligtas, hindi pa rin kami maglilingkod sa inyong mga diyos ni sasamba sa rebultong ginto na ipinagawa ninyo.”

Daniel 3:16–18

Naranasan mo na bang maipit sa sitwasyon na kailangan mong gumawa ng decision between standing in your faith or compromising? Sometimes, these situations brought by the pressure of people, trends, and culture make us give in to the temptation. It may seem easier to conform, but  when we’ve decided to follow Jesus, we are to stand and say no to compromises that go against God’s Word.

By faith, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego showed unwavering faith and commitment, even in the face of death. They chose not to bow down to the king of Babylon and resolved to worship God alone. As a result, they were sent to the fiery furnace. It was their bold declaration, exemplified by their courage and conviction to follow God, trusting in His faithfulness and sovereignty. 

When we say no to compromises, we say yes to God. We also say yes to His grace that sustains us and enables us to live against the norm. Here are some practical ways to help us to stand firm in our faith in Christ:
