Sebo De Macho
Ito ang kadalasan nating maririnig sa ating mga magulang every time we have a wound that is expected to leave a scar. Para kasi sa marami, scars are a sign of imperfection and in a world that values physical appearance, scars must either be removed or hidden. But there is more to scars than meets the eye.
Scars tell stories. When you see people with visible scars, you become naturally curious about it. Do those scars tell stories of courage, consequence, or conquest? And in the life of Jesus, His scars both tell of His suffering and His victory.
Jesus’ scars remained after His resurrection. Ipinakita Niya ito sa Kanyang mga disciple when He appeared to them. It was one of the strongest pieces of evidence that even Thomas, the doubting disciple, could not deny. It proved who Jesus is, and what He has done.
In the same way, we also have different scars in life that tell our own stories. It can be physical, emotional, or even spiritual. We sometimes feel that it’s better to hide them since it shows an ugly part of us. Pero, katulad ni Jesus, we must not be ashamed of our own scars. Our scars are proof that our wounds were healed. It is a powerful reminder that we have endured, and by His grace, have continued.
LET’S PRAY
I thank You, Lord, for reminding us not to be ashamed of our scars. It is proof that You have healed us, and it also serves as a way for us to let people know about You and Your love for them.
APPLICATION
Tell someone about the story of your scars. Someone you know may need to hear how God has healed you and in turn surrender their lives to Jesus.
