The God Who Sees and Hears You

Welcome to our series “Great Mothers of the Bible.” Kilalanin natin ngayon ang isa pang nanay from the Bible, si Hagar. Let’s find out her story and discover about God’s character.
Genesis 16:13
“Ubos na ubos na ako, Lord.” Bilang nanay, have you been feeling this way lately? Na para bang walang nakakakita at appreciate ng efforts mo? There are days when motherhood feels like a never-ending marathon filled with struggles weighing heavily on your heart.
Hagar’s story in Genesis 16 is also a story of desperate cry for help. Despite working hard as a servant for Abraham and Sarah, she received mistreatment when she bore a son for Abraham. She ran away into the desert where she encountered God. This led her to naming her son Ishmael, which means God who hears, because Hagar had witnessed the God who sees her (Genesis 16:13).
Her story is a reminder that you are not alone and unseen. Hold on to these four truths to help you overcome your struggles:
1.God sees you — For all the tears you shed and pain you’ve gone through, know that God has not missed a single tear. Malapit Siya sa iyo. In fact, His nearness will comfort and strengthen you.
2.Acknowledge your pain — Ignoring your struggles only increases the pain and its weight. You can talk to God or even to trusted people to help you process your emotions.
3.Take a break and rest — Resting will help empower your spirit. Kahit saglit na oras lang para makapagpahinga o mag-self-care activities ay makakatulong para ma-refuel ka.
4.Do not hesitate to ask for help — This journey of motherhood is not meant to be a solo flight. You can lean on your support system — your family, friends, and most importantly your spouse.
There is hope for brighter days because the God who sees you, El Roi, will take care of you.
Thank you for tuning in today. Remember, God sees you and God cares for you. KIta-kits tayo bukas for the continuation of our series “Great Mothers of the Bible.”
LET’S PRAY
Lord, thank You for the reminder that I am not alone. Thank You because I can surrender my burdens and receive a renewed strength. In Jesus’ name, amen.
