Alam n‘yo ba kung ano ang “social experiment”? Ito ay isinasagawa para subukan kung ano ang magiging response ng tao sa partikular na sitwasyon. Halimbawa, sa pampublikong lugar, habang naglalakad ang isang tao na may dalang maraming gamit, bigla niya itong nahulog. May mga tumingin lamang at nilagpasan lang siya. O kaya, may mga nagmamadali kaya hindi siya mabigyan ng oras na matulungan. Pero, may good Samaritan na tumigil para tulungan siyang makatayo at maiayos ang kanyang mga gamit.

In our everyday life, we face different situations that invite us to stop and take time to help others. Our responses may differ from others’. For some, they need to exert extra effort to help because their capabilities limit them. But for sure, naranasan mo na ito na may mga taong gagawa ng paraan para tulungan ka sa panahon ng pangangailangan. When Jesus was here on earth, He said, “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28, NIV). And that’s how Jesus demonstrated having a servant’s heart. It is not only through words, but with action. He obeyed God to be nailed at the cross, which cost Him His life to redeem us from our sins. After three days, He resurrected to prove we can find new life in Him. It is only through His love that we can also help and serve others. Despite our busyness or even having our own needs, we are still inspired to serve because we know that we are demonstrating Jesus’ love to others.
