Hindi na nila hinihingan ng ulat ang mga namamahala sa mga gawain sapagkat matatapat ang mga ito.

2 Hari 12:15

Integrity means moral uprightness, honesty, and consistency in character. A person with integrity can be trusted even when no one is looking. But more importantly, someone with integrity is someone who is whole, with no hypocrisy and duplicity in his or her life.

When people choose to live in integrity, everyone is blessed. Families built on integrity are happy and secured. Churches and other communities thrive when their leaders and members practice honesty and uprightness. A great example from God’s Word of the blessing of integrity is found in the reign of King Joash. He asked the temple to be repaired by securing funds and giving them to those who managed it. The people assigned to this task were so full of integrity that accounting wasn’t even required of them!

Unfortunately, there is growing evidence na even Christians, like non-Christians, are lacking in the area of integrity. Mula sa pag ko-commit ng plagiarism, taking and offering bribes, sharing fake news, engaging in adultery and affairs, and even stealing company supplies — we fail in honoring God by replacing integrity with dishonesty. This results in missed opportunities, failed relationships, and corruption in our character and our nation.

We must start not only by living with eternity in mind but also by living with integrity in our everyday life. It all begins by surrendering our whole life to God. Ang Diyos ang bubuo at mag-aayos ng ating buhay through faith in Jesus Christ. He offers not only salvation but also a changed life through sanctification. Integrity is also built by being filled by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18). It is when we ask the Holy Spirit to guide our thoughts, words, and action that produces the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23).

Living with integrity isn’t easy, but it is a life that is pleasing to Him!
