Job 1:5 (MBB)

In a world where fathers are often busy providing, few realize that their greatest role is interceding. Job was that kind of father. Every time his children celebrated, he would wake up early the next day to offer sacrifices on their behalf, just in case they had sinned against God.

He didn’t control his children; he covered them in prayer. Alam ni Job na hindi niya kayang bantayan ang lahat ng anak niya sa lahat ng oras, pero kayang gawin iyon ng Diyos. His prayers were his invisible shield of love.

Maybe you didn’t grow up with a praying father. That ache is real, but here’s the truth: our Father in heaven never stopped loving you. God watches over you as Jesus  intercedes for you (Romans 8:34) and calls you His child.

If you are a parent today, remember, your greatest legacy is not your achievements, but your prayers. Your children may forget your words, but they will never escape your intercession.

And if you long to be a parent someday, start praying now. Pray for your future spouse, your future kids, and the kind of person you’re becoming. Because prayer doesn’t just protect your family, it prepares your heart to lead them toward God.

LET’S PRAY

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of fathers who pray. Teach every dad to lead their families with humility and faith. For those who grew up without one, let them feel Your embrace as their perfect Father. And for those preparing to be parents, mold them to be men and women after Your heart. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

APPLICATION

If you’re a parent, pray for your children today. If you didn’t have a praying dad, rest in your Father’s love. And if you want to be a parent one day, begin by being faithful to Christ now.
