Biro man ito but this reflects the attitude ng marami tungkol sa ating katawan.

Sadly, many Christians tend to think that our physical well-being is less important than our spiritual health. It’s true that our souls need saving but Jesus died for the whole of us, and not just one part of our being!

God created humans as physical beings essentially with bodies (Genesis 2:7). That’s why Paul believes that our hope as God’s children includes the redemption of our bodies (Romans 8:23).

God’s love for us is holistic, and He is saving us as whole human beings. Yes, we still experience fatigue, stress, and diseases. Time will come na hindi na natin maiiwasan ang kamatayan. But because God will redeem our bodies when Jesus comes back, we can declare with the Apostle Paul that “death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” (1 Corinthians 15:54–55, NIV).

Our bodies matter to the Lord! God created us in His image and this body is essential to His creation. Therefore, let’s value our health. Let us not neglect our needs as physical human beings. Let’s take care of our whole being!
