Let God’s Word Be on Repeat
Una, maging matapang at matatag. And what does it mean to meditate on God’s Word day and night?
In 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV), Apostle Paul told his disciple Timothy that, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” The Bible is every follower of Christ’s manual to live out his or her faith. Like the Israelites, followers of Christ are to do the same. And the kind of meditation that the Bible teaches us is centered in God’s Word. Hindi ito emptying of minds or manifesting the things we want. Biblical meditation is to ponder, reflect, be renewed and transformed by the Living Word (Romans 12:2).
Kaya sa araw-araw na nakikinig, nagbabasa o nanonood tayo sa iba’t ibang platforms, why not consider switching to Bible-based content na social media handles, series, videos? Or listening to worship songs or Christian podcasts? Consider reading Bible-based writings and books to help you understand God’s Word deeper. Or simply setting a regular time and place to read the Bible or listen to the audio Bible and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you as you meditate on His Word.
LET’S PRAY
Lord, thank You for Your Word, which is the lamp on my feet, leading me how to live a life that pleases You. Protect me from any distractions as I meditate on Your Word day and night. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
APPLICATION
Commit yourself to memorizing a Bible verse or two. Write this on a sticky note or somewhere that can help you memorize and meditate on it throughout the day. Or listen to an audio Bible and put the verse on repeat play.
