Isaias 55:8–9

Have you ever tried explaining to a two-year-old why he needs to drink his medicine?

Funny as it is, trying to explain to a two-year-old is a waste of time. Hindi matatapos ang kanilang pangungulit, and they will try to reason out or get what they want.

Ganito rin minsan ang pakiramdam natin when we go through difficult situations and God doesn’t seem to explain it to us. Like toddlers, gusto nating malaman kung bakit when we ask for seemingly good things, God doesn’t answer our prayers. And like a loving parent, our heavenly Father sometimes keeps His explanation from us.

Sa totoo lang, hindi naman obligasyon ng Panginoon to explain Himself to us. He is God. He can do anything He wants. Yet, in times like this, maaaring may mas malalim na dahilan ang Panginoon. Like a parent to a toddler, mas malawak ang knowledge ni Lord. Alam Niya ang lahat. He knows our past and even our future. What we know is very limited.

Like a loving parent, hindi hahayaan ng Diyos na mapahamak tayo. At times when we don’t hear from Him, we need to understand His heart. The Lord wants us to grow deeper in our faith and trust in Him. Alam ng Diyos ang mangyayari, and we need to trust that He is in control.

LET’S PRAY

Father, there are things I don’t understand right now. I surrender my life to You. Amen.

APPLICATION

One of the ways we can trust God even if He seems silent ay ang alalahanin ang faithfulness Niya in the past. Remember all the victories He has led you through at pasalamatan Siya in prayer.
