Sa pagsasabi ng tapat, lumilitaw ang katarungan, ngunit ang pagsisinungaling ay lumilikha ng kapahamakan.

Every day tayong nakakarinig ng balita. But the sad part is, may lumalabas na fake news sa panahon ngayon. Let’s remember na ang hindi pagsasabi ng tapat ay nagbubunga ng kapahamakan. C.S. Lewis also said, “A little lie is like a little pregnancy, it doesn’t take long before everyone knows.” Malalaman din ng mga tao kung nagsisinungaling tayo.
The Bible has many things to say about speaking the truth. In the Book of Proverbs, you’ll read a lot of verses about speaking honestly. Solomon wrote, “Righteous lips are the delight of a king, and he loves him who speaks what is right” (Proverbs 16:13 ESV). Our God is a God of truth, and speaking the truth is a delight to Him, the King of heaven.
At patungkol naman sa pakikipag-usap natin araw-araw sa ating family members, co-workers, and friends, Zechariah 8:16 (CEV) says, “But you must be truthful with each other, and in court you must give fair decisions that lead to peace.”
In telling the truth, our motivation should be love. “Love should always make us tell the truth. Then we will grow in every way and be more like Christ, the head” (Ephesians 4:15 CEV). When we tell the truth, we are becoming like Christ in our walk. We show that we are God’s children.
Pause for a minute and think how telling the truth can help someone you know.
May pumipigil ba sa iyo para sabihin sa kanya ang totoo?
What could help you para maging honest sa kanya?
Let God fill you with His love and wisdom so you can tell the truth.

LET’S PRAY
Lord, I praise You for You are our true and righteous God. It’s not always easy to tell the truth pero gusto kong maging honest. Tulungan Ninyo akong maging bold sa pagsasabi ng totoo, maging wise kung kailan at paano sasabihin ang totoo, at maging instrument Ninyo ng truth and justice. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
APPLICATION
Recall the last time na hindi ka naging tapat sa isang tao. Can you find a way para maituwid mo ang maling sinabi mo sa kanya? Pray for wisdom, and let God guide you on how to be truthful.
