Purihin ang Diyos at Ama ng ating Panginoong Jesu-Cristo! Pinagkalooban niya tayo ng lahat ng pagpapalang espirituwal at makalangit dahil sa ating pakikipag-isa kay Cristo.

Mga Taga-Efeso 1:3

What are you interested in or passionate about? Is it your work, your hobbies, places you want to visit, or other things in your bucket list? Bakit ka interesado sa mga ito? Siguro dahil ito ang nagpapasaya at nagbibigay sa iyo ng satisfaction. Generally, we are most interested in the things that benefit us. Sadly, sometimes our focus is on things of this world, which are fleeting. We neglect the more important things of eternal value. We are not interested in Jesus, samantalang ang daming spiritual blessings that await us through Him, as written in Ephesians 1:3–14.

First, through Christ, we become holy and blameless before God (Ephesians 1:4).

Second, tayo’y pinili upang maging anak ng Diyos sa pamamagitan ni Jesu-Cristo (Ephesians 1:5).

Third, we receive the riches of His grace (Ephesians 1:6–7).

Fourth, tinubos tayo ni Cristo sa pamamagitan ng Kanyang dugo (v. 7).

Fifth blessing, pinatawad na ang ating mga kasalanan (v.7).

Sixth, we receive wisdom and insight into the mystery of God’s will — which is to fulfill His own good plan (Ephesians 1:9).

And finally, God has gifted us with the Holy Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing our inheritance. Ang Espiritu ang katibayan na makakamit natin ang mga pangako ng Diyos para sa atin, hanggang sa makamtan natin ang lubos na kaligtasan (v.11–14).

How can we not be interested in Jesus when He has secured all of these for us eternally? The Bible says we were born into a world that is hostile toward God, and we all “have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Matigas ang puso natin dahil sa kasalanan (Romans 8:7), but through Jesus Christ, we are forgiven of our sins, we become a child of God, and receive all these blessings.
