All of us want to have a good start. Pero paano kung may takot kang magsimula? Pakinggan mo ang Salita ng Diyos para sa iyo.

Ito ang sabi niya: “Ilibing mo na sa limot, at huwag nang alalahanin pa, ang mga nangyari noong unang panahon. Masdan mo, ako ay gagawa ng isang bagong bagay; ito’y nagaganap na, hindi mo pa ba makita? Gagawa ako ng isang daanan sa gitna ng disyerto, at magkakaroon ng ilog sa lugar na ito.

Isaias 43:18–19

“Lord, bakit ako nasa sitwasyong ito?” tanong ni Mary bago magpasa ng resignation letter. Natatakot kasi siyang isipin na magsisimula siya ulit sa pagkilala sa new workmates, pag-aadjust sa work culture, and pag-aaral gawin ang new processes.

For several months, she had been praying for a financial breakthrough. Sa laki ng gastusin, hindi na niya masuportahan ang kanyang widowed mother at baon na rin siya sa utang. She kept praying for a promotion or getting a sideline job. But there is one thing that she didn’t dare to pray for — finding a new job and starting over again. When she finally got an answer from God in the form of a new job opportunity, her fear hindered her from moving forward.

Ganito rin ba ang sitwasyon mo ngayon? Is your fear stopping you from experiencing a fresh start? Don’t allow it to shape your perspective of the future. Do not allow yourself to become a hostage of your past. 

Ipinapaalala ng Isaiah 43:18–19 na puwedeng may panibagong bagay na gagawin ang Diyos, far greater than what happened to you in the past. We can take courage to start over again and to decide to trust Him completely. Kahit kailan, hindi ka iiwan ng Diyos. Sabi sa Deuteronomy 31:6, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” This year, let go of the past that weighs you down, surrender to God, and trust His plans. Pagkatiwalaan mo na maganda ang Kanyang plano, because He has your best interest in mind. May the Lord give you the courage to start again.
