This prompted his daddy to go to him and told him to pick up the pieces. But Austin refused. He didn’t want to have anything to do with it anymore. He said, “But I worked so hard for it!” His daddy replied, “It’s okay. Don’t worry. I will help you build again.”

Don’t we find ourselves in a similar situation sometimes? We feel so discouraged and frustrated when things don’t go our way — failed exams, rejection at work, broken marriages and relationships, business problems or worse, closure. Kung minsan, sa sobrang laki ng problema, you just want to give up. Pero teka, may pag-asa pa!

You have a faithful Almighty Father in Heaven who owns the world and everything in it. If earthy fathers like Austin’s dad can feel so much compassion for his son, how much more God the Father who loves you so much?

Jesus said, “If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” (Matthew 7:11, NIV). God, your Father, is just waiting for you to come to Him as you are — broken, frustrated, hopeless.

You may be suffering as a consequence of sin or as a victim of unfortunate circumstances, but in all these, “the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you”  (1 Peter 5:10, NASB).

Be assured that Daddy God can fix your broken life. Come to Him. He will never turn you away.
