‘Di na Lalakad sa Kadiliman
Muling nagsalita si Jesus sa mga Pariseo. Sinabi niya, “Ako ang ilaw ng sanlibutan. Ang sumusunod sa akin ay magkakaroon ng ilaw sa kanyang buhay at di na lalakad sa kadiliman.”
Juan 8:12
The phrase “dark night of the soul” has been used to describe a crisis of faith or a difficult, painful period sa buhay ng isang tao. Ito ’yung mga situations in life na parang wala tayong nakikitang pag-asa or a way out of our misery. This “darkness” might be because of a loss of a loved one, a debilitating sickness, an addiction, depression, or money problems.
Whichever state of “darkness” we feel we are in, there is a light more powerful than any other light we can think of.
He is Jesus Christ, the light of the world. His light is like a candle in the dark kapag brownout. It’s like a lamp or a flashlight that shed light on our path kapag naglalakad tayo sa madilim na lugar. His light is like the sun that shines on the sea on a clear dayso we can see the beauty of the beach.
We will never be the same when we have Jesus Christ in our lives. His light helps us look at things and people differently. Ang Kanyang liwanag is a comforting presence and a constant glow in the midst of grief, sickness, and tragedy. He will be the lamp that provides guidance in navigating life’s challenges (Psalm 119:105).
Jesus’ light also reveals our sins but He will help us see the beauty of His grace and forgiveness despite our mistakes and failures. The presence of His light will shed clarity on our confusion.
The light that comes from trusting in Him comes with a promise that we will never walk in darkness anymore.
