Welcome back sa last part ng ating series na “Conquering Doubts and Worries.” Tingnan natin ang isang miraculous incident sa journey ng mga Israelita in their quest to reach and conquer the Promised Land.

Iniligtas niya kami sa malagim na kamatayan, at patuloy na ililigtas. Kami’y umaasa rin na patuloy niya kaming ililigtas.

2 Mga Taga-Corinto 1:10

Feeling hopeless ka na ba sa dami ng problema? Do you feel like your life is just a series of overcoming one problem after another na kung minsan ay sabay-sabay pa? Kailan ba darating ang ginhawa?

‘Yan din siguro ang naramdaman ng Israelites when they were about to enter the land God promised to them. After spending years of slavery sa Egypt, they spent 40 struggling years in the wilderness. At parang hindi pa sapat, they had to cross a 10-foot-deep overflowing Jordan river by foot. What an impossible obstacle!

It must have been exhausting pero di sila pinanghinaan ng loob. Joshua, their leader, encouraged them. The Lord who parted the Red Sea will also be the God who will allow them to cross the river. And He did!

Ipinangako ito ng Diyos kaya miraculously Niyang pinahinto ang rumaragasang tubig and dried up the river para makatawid ang mga tao (Josue 3:13–16). This same God in the Old Testament is the same God we have today. Ang sabi sa Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

Tulad ng pinatotoo ni Apostle Paul, “Iniligtas niya kami sa malagim na kamatayan, at patuloy na ililigtas (2 Mga Taga-Corinto 1:10). Iniligtas ka na Niya noon, gagawin Niya rin ‘yun ngayon. God will make a way. You just have to put your faith in Him!
