Nang mag-uumaga na, umalis si Jesus at nagpunta sa isang ilang na pook. Hinanap siya ng mga tao, at nang matagpuan ay pinakiusapang huwag muna siyang umalis. Subalit sinabi niya, “Dapat ko ring ipangaral sa ibang mga bayan ang Magandang Balita tungkol sa paghahari ng Diyos, sapagkat iyon ang dahilan kaya ako isinugo.”

Lucas 4:42-43

Kabi-kabila ang bad news na naririnig natin araw-araw. Sa loob ng bansa, nariyan ang El Niño, La Nińa, price increase, POGO, scam, at iba pa. Sa global scene, giyera, mass shooting, plane crash, pandemic, at marami pa. At sa social media, the bigger the scandal, mas lalong viral. Bakit ba parang mas hinahanap ng mga tao ang bad news?

Pero ikaw, naghahanap ka ng good news. That’s why you clicked this link. And because you did, you will not be disappointed.  

The good news is hinding-hindi masasapawan ng bad news ang pinakamabuting balita sa lahat. And it is this: God the Almighty reigns! The Kingdom of God is here and will be here forever and ever. In spite of all the bad things happening in the world, ang Diyos pa rin ang naghahari and He will accomplish His good plan for the world and for His people.

Nang sinimulan ni Jesus ang Kanyang earthly ministry, He announced, “The time promised by God has come at last! . . . The Kingdom of God is near!” (Mark 1:15a, NLT). The Kingdom of God was present in the life of Jesus. Ipinangaral Niya ang paghahari ng Diyos. He showed signs of the Kingdom of God in His miracles. The Kingdom of God was established by His death on the cross and inaugurated through His resurrection. And here’s more good news: The Kingdom of God is being advanced by the Holy Spirit at this time through all the faithful followers of Christ – through His Church. And when Christ returns, all Christians will witness the ultimate fulfillment of the Kingdom of God, and reign with Jesus forever and ever.

Sobrang good news talaga ito! Pero, good news ba ito para sa iyo? It will only become good news for you pag susundin mo itong second part ng announcement ni Jesus: “Repent of your sins and believe the Good News!” (Mark 1:15b, NLT).
