He was recently promoted at dumami ang taong mina-manage niya. Dahil naaawa sa ilan, he volunteers to take on some of their tasks. Aside from that, may personal problems din siyang dinadala. His plate is full at pagod na pagod na siya.
Like Jason, do you feel tired dahil dala-dala mo sa balikat ang responsibility of fixing other people’s problems? You worry about your children’s future, you stress over a loved one’s wrong choices, or you keep trying to change someone’s heart.
Sa 2 Chronicles 20, King Jehoshaphat faced a big army. But God sent a message: “The battle is not yours, but God’s.” Hindi na nila kinailangang lumaban. They just trusted God, and while worshipping, God gave them victory.
Being helpful is good, but taking on more burdens than you can handle is dangerous. If you continue doing that, you would just tire yourself out, leaving you frustrated and disappointed.
Leave the battle and its result to His victorious hands. Sabi nga sa 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV), “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”
When we surrender, we are not giving up. Instead, we are releasing the burdens to the One who can truly carry it — the true Messiah.
LET’S PRAY
Lord, I confess that I try to save others, at hindi ko po kaya. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
APPLICATION
List down the people and problems you’ve been trying to “fix.” Pray and release each one into the Lord’s care. Then, wait upon His instructions. Trust Him and obey.
