What are your needs nowadays? Kapag may mahigpit kang pangangailangan, what do you do? Kanino ka unang tumatakbo—sa kapamilya ba, kaibigan, o sa mga taong puwede mong mahiraman ng pera?

The Bible is full of revelation about the great riches of God. In Psalm 23, David said that his unlimited source is the Lord. Ikinumpara niya si Lord sa isang shepherd na nag-aakay sa kanyang mga sheep sa green pasture. David was fully confident that he will not lack anything because the Lord is his shepherd.

Abraham also experienced God as a great Provider. Tinawag ni Abraham ang isang mountain sa Moriah na “Yahweh Yireh” (Jehovah Jireh) which means “the Lord will provide” dahil doon nagbigay ang Diyos ng tupang panghandog kapalit ng anak niyang si Isaac (Genesis 22).

Amazing din ang iba pang mga kuwento ng supernatural provisions ng ating Panginoon. He chose a little lad with his five loaves and two fish in order to feed the multitude (Matthew 14:13-21). Inutusan rin Niya ang uwak para maghatid ng tinapay at karne kay Elijah (1 Kings 17:2-6).

It’s also clear that God owns all the riches of this earth (Psalm 24:1; Psalm 50:10; Haggai 2:8; Acts 4:24). He possesses everything in this world. So next time na meron kang pangangailangan, you don’t have to go to a loan shark. God doesn’t want you to be in lack and to suffer. He is the Shepherd who leads you to green pastures. Siya rin ang Great Provider na magpro-provide ng lahat ng pangangailangan mo. In our desperate moment of need, He will manifest His power!

God is indeed an unchanging God. His character does not change. He is never early nor late but He is always on time sa pagpro-provide ng ating pangangailangan. God can do a repeat of His miracles for you as well. If God provided during Bible times, we are very sure that He will also to do it now. Let us pray.
