Welcome back to our short series “Tara, Pray Tayo!” God wants us to pray for each other, and when we do, something happens. Kaya, tara, pakinggan natin ang devotion natin ngayong araw.

Ang lahat ng ito’y gawin ninyo na may panalangin at pagsamo. Manalangin kayo sa lahat ng pagkakataon, sa patnubay ng Espiritu. Lagi kayong maging handa, at patuloy na ipanalangin ang lahat ng hinirang ng Diyos.

Mga Taga-Efeso 6:18

Naranasan mo na bang ipag-pray ka ng ibang tao? Iyan ang experience ni Joy sa kaibigan niyang si Julie.

Habang nasa biyahe si Julie ay bigla niya naalala ang kaibigan niyang si Joy. “Lord, hindi ko alam bakit pumasok si Joy sa isip pero sige, I will pray for her.” Nung lunch break niya, naisip niyang i-message ang kaibigan. “Joy, bigla kang pumasok sa isip ko kanina at ipinag-pray kita. Sana OK lang.”  

Ilang sandali lang at tumatawag na si Joy sa kanya. “Julie! Grabe naman. Kaya pala biglang gumaan ang pakiramdam ko, ipinag-pray mo pala ako. Nasa doktor kasi kami ni Mama ngayon at kinakabahan ako. Pero dahil sa message mo, nagkaroon ako ng peace. Thank you ha!”

How many times has the Lord prompted you to pray for someone? Some random name would pop up in your mind and you wonder why. Take it as God telling you to pray for this person, and you don’t even have to know why. Just pray.

Praying for one another is a command that is so simple yet often overlooked. When we start interceding for others, we shift the focus away from ourselves toward helping others. Your prayer may be the only encouragement one person can receive today. Why not start praying for someone? God hears the sincere hearts of intercession because our prayers are a sweet aroma to Him (Psalm 141:2). 

When we pray for others, we can also witness how God moves in their lives. Whether God responds immediately or not, we might be able to see how their faith transforms because they put their trust in the Lord and not in us praying for them. Sa huli, sa Lord lang ang papuri at pasasalamat.
