Job 7:11

Have you experienced a difficult season when trials didn’t seem to end? You are physically and emotionally exhausted.

How did Job cope? In Job 1:20, after hearing the events that took place, Job mourned and praised the Lord. In the next chapters, however, we see him pouring his heart out to the Lord, questioning Him. Na-offend kaya si God?

It’s OK to ask Him, seek answers, and express ourselves. He understands the pain and the questions people throw at Him, especially when life is hard. God is patient and compassionate. We are free to express our exasperation to Him. Sometimes, He might give us the answers, but often He does not. Like what we can learn in the case of Job, God does not owe anyone an explanation. But He reminds us of His sovereignty, power, and wisdom.

No one is exempt from experiencing trials in life. Problems happen to everyone, but people’s responses vary. Some accept the challenges and carry on, while others harbor bitterness towards God. Ikaw, when you face many problems, do you handle it like Job?
