Tito 2:7

Anybody who’s been to a foreign country would know that there are many  rules na iba sa kung ano ang meron sa ating bansa. Take, for example, road signs, traffic signs, driving regulations, at marami pang iba. Whether it is out of respect for the rules of that foreign land, or fear of being reprimanded and jailed, nakakatuwang makita ang ating mga kababayan na sumusunod at gumagalang sa authorities.

Mahirap i-maintain ang pagiging masunurin, especially when the rules are inconvenient, time consuming, or even seemingly unnecessary. But God calls His people to a higher standard — one of consistent integrity and respect. It’s the kind  that does not operate on a case-to-case basis, or on fear of the consequences. It’s about being a good example, reflecting the kind of attitude and behavior that honors God.

LET’S PRAY

Dear Father God, help me to walk in consistent integrity today and always. I admit that it is not always easy, especially when a shortcut seems to be the better option. Give me the grace to be a role model. May my actions encourage others to be steadfast and faithful.

APPLICATION

Minsan ka lang ba masunurin? Pakitang tao lang ba? Confess to God and strive to be better next time, all the time.
