Araw-gabi’y tumatawag ako sa iyo, O Diyos, di ako mapanatag, di ka man lang sumasagot.

Naitanong mo na ba kung naririnig talaga ni Lord ang prayers mo? Bakit kaya ‘yung ibang tao, isang pray lang nila, may sagot agad? Why does it seem like God is giving you the silent treatment? Will He ever answer your prayers?

Sa Psalm 22, ramdam rin natin ang bigat ng loob ni David. He felt that God wasn’t answering his call. This psalm was probably penned during a time of great trial in his life. Maaaring ito ‘yung time na hina-hunting siya ni Saul or his other enemies. Pero tahimik ba talaga ang Diyos noong panahong iyon? Did God choose to ignore David’s prayer — and maybe some of ours today?

When God seems distant and silent, let us learn to see things from His perspective. This starts by surrendering our entire life to Jesus. When we acknowledge Him as our Lord and Shepherd, we will hear His voice (John 10:28). Mas magiging malinaw sa atin ang sagot Niya sa ating  prayers. We can also be more observant on how God is using people and situations as part of our answered prayers. Also, let us learn that a NO from God is still an answered prayer. NO is sometimes the answer. Remember this too, that God ALWAYS answers our prayers. But sometimes, it may be in a package we do not like. Halimbawa, when we ask God for His provision, He gives us more work to do or some risks to take. Or sometimes the healing we ask for involves sacrifice and self-discipline. In other words, God answers prayers in more ways than one.

Kapag hindi natin maramdaman ang pagkilos ng Diyos, doon natin kailangang mas kumapit sa Kanyang pagkatao. When God is silent, He is never absent. He is always working and watching over us.
