Happy new year to all! Let’s start the new year with a new series that would encourage all of us. Let’s begin our series on “New Ways to Enjoy Life with Christ”.

Nag-aani nang marami sa tulong mong ginagawa, at saanman magpunta ka’y masaganang-masagana.

Awit 65:11

Looking back, marami ang naging excited noong year 2020. Many booked their wedding that year dahil memorable ang wedding date na may number na inuulit. Meron ding matagal na naghintay for 2020 because they felt that it was the best time to start after a decade. But all were shocked by the biggest threat that 2020 brought to the world ― the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting economic crisis.

Isa na rito si Chacha. January pa lang, pumutok na ang bulkang Taal and their barangay was affected by the said calamity. When March came, nagkaroon ng pag-lockdown ng mga bayan-bayan because of the spread of COVID-19.

In spite of these unfortunate incidents, Chacha held on to the word of God in Psalm 65:11, “You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance.” When everything seemed to be falling apart, she saw God’s hand at work in her life. Nagkaroon siya ng opportunity na makapagtrabaho sa tatlong iba’t ibang international companies because of the work from home setup. This was also the time when she was able to invest in a house and buy a vehicle for the family. Iba talaga ang economy ni God!

Three years later, here we are ― not just alive, but victorious because of the grace of God. And this new year, like Chacha, panghawakan natin ang salita ni God na hindi nagbabago. This year, be prepared for a bountiful harvest. Even sa mahihirap na sitwasyon, expect that because of the grace of God, there is abundance!
