Now Na!
Baka may mga pagkakataon o opportunities tayong pinalampas. Bakit? Feeling kasi natin na hawak natin ang oras at sigurado tayong darating din ang bukas, yet the truth is tomorrow is not always guaranteed to come.
James 4:13–14 (NIV) reminds us about the uncertainty of tomorrow, “Now listen, you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend the year there, carry on business and make money.’ Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.”
What is the value of time? In an attempt to recognize its worth, Dr. Leslie Weatherhead calculated the average length of life using the hours of one day. He said that if your age is 15, the time is 10:25 AM, and if you‘re 30, the time is 1:51 PM. At age 45, the time is 5:15 PM and at 60 years old, the time is 8:42 PM. At 70 years old naman, the time is 11:00 PM. A little more time after that and it‘s over.
We have today to do what God wants us to accomplish. Don‘t be afraid because He will also be with us tomorrow.
LET’S PRAY
Lord Jesus, thank You for reminding us about the value of today. Amen
