Narrated by Peter Kairuz & Written by Lucille Ocampo-Talusan

Mateo 8:2–3

Kailangan mo ba ng healing? Or perhaps a family member or a friend is sick and is asking for prayers for healing? Mahirap talaga kapag may sakit lalo na kung ang sakit ay life-threatening at kailangan ng expensive medicines and treatment like dialysis or chemotherapy. More often than not, these health challenges compel us to pray hard. The Lord always answers, though in different ways. Some are healed instantly, others take a long time to heal, and some don’t get healed while here on earth, but receive ultimate healing in heaven. One thing is for sure: Jesus loves to heal as we read several accounts in the Bible.

As Jesus traveled in Galilee and shared about the Kingdom, He healed every kind of disease and illness of all who were sick. And whatever their sickness or disease … demon possessed, epileptic, or paralyzed — He healed them all (Matthew 4:23–24 NLT). He healed the multitudes with compassion (Matthew 14:14) and by just commanding. The dead was commanded to rise (John 11:43–44); the lame were commanded to get up (John 5:8–9); the ears of the deaf mute were commanded to be opened (Mark 7:31–35); the crippled woman was freed from disability (Luke 13:10–16), and so forth.

There were those like the bleeding woman who were healed by their faith (Mark 5: 25-34). But healing also took place because of the faith of others like the Roman officer whose servant was healed because of the officer’s faith (Matthew 8: 5–13).

He was excited to heal the leper who walked up to Him and said, “Lord, you have the power to heal me … if you really want to.” Jesus reached out his hand and touched the leper and said, “Of course I want to heal you — be healed!” (Matthew 8:2–3 TPT). Like how Jesus healed this leper, He can also do this for you!
