Isang lalaki at isang babae ng bawat may buhay ang isinama ni Noe, ayon sa utos ng Diyos. Pagkatapos, isinara ni Yahweh ang pinto ng barko.

Genesis 7:15–16

Have you ever experienced a closed door in life? Maybe a job opportunity didn’t push through, a relationship ended, or a plan you prayed for didn’t work out. Minsan masakit, minsan nakaka-confuse. Sometimes, the very door God closes is His way of saving and protecting us.

Genesis 7:16 says, “Then the Lord shut him in.” After 120 years of preaching, warning, and building the ark, Noah and his family finally entered the ark. Hindi si Noah ang nagsara ng pinto. It was God Himself who shut the door.

Bakit importante ito? First, it shows that salvation is God’s work, not ours. Noah didn’t save himself; it was God who secured him. Ganun din tayo, hindi tayo saved by our own works or efforts, but only by God’s grace. He is the One who seals and keeps us safe in Christ (Ephesians 2:8–9).

Second, when God shuts a door, it means His time and plan are perfect. Noah couldn’t decide when to close the ark, nor could the people outside force it open. God alone decides the window of mercy and the moment of judgment. That’s both a serious reminder and a comfort. It’s a serious reminder because we shouldn’t delay in responding to Him, and comforting, because once He saves us, no one can take that away.

Think about it: God’s closed doors are not rejection but protection. He knows what lies ahead. To Noah, it meant preservation from the flood. To us, it can mean protection from unseen harm, redirection to His better plan, or a reminder that He alone secures our future. He’s really preserving us for something greater.
