It’s easy to say you believe in God or follow God. God commanded Moses and the Israelites of his generation to conquer Canaan, the land He promised to their ancestors. That first generation failed to obey God’s command and suffered many consequences, so Joshua and the second generation of Israelites learned from their fathers’ mistakes. Depending on the Lord for victory, they pressed forward and conquered Canaan as God commanded Moses. After they conquered Canaan, the land was split into twelve areas, one each for the twelve tribes, where they all settled and lived peacefully afterward for some time.

Riches and glory may not always be the result of doing what God says. Often, it is a lifestyle of obedience and divine calmness. When you obey God’s commands, you will experience an unexplainable inner peace even in the face of outward trials and discouragements. Hindi ba napakalaking blessing na ito?
