Juan 6:35

Out of the many verses that talk about food in the Bible, mababasa natin sa Genesis 3:19, “By the sweat of your brow, you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.” Isa ang tinapay sa words na rich with metaphorical meaning in the Bible.

In one instance, the bread and the fish filled the physical hunger of the people but they failed to realize the deeper meaning of this miracle by Jesus.

They tried their best to find Him, hoping na makakakuha sila ng mas maraming libreng pagkain! Hindi nila Siya hinahanap kundi the food that He gives.

He was actually talking about Himself. In a way, sinasabi Niya, “Instead of asking for food that spoils, with Me, you will never go hungry. I am the Bread of Life.”

Ikaw, ano — o sino — hinahabol mo: Ang bigay o ang Nagbigay? The bread or the Bread of Life?
