Are your grandparents still alive? If not, did they give you an inheritance like what Grandma Lois gave to Timothy? You can meet these two people in the New Testament. We don’t know much about Lois, but we can read a lot about her grandson Timothy. Ito ang sinabi ni Apostle Paul in his letter bearing Timothy’s name: “From infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus” (2 Timothy 3:15).

In his adulthood, naging mabuting alagad si Timothy kay Apostle Paul. In fact, he even tagged along Paul and Silas when they visited churches. Because of their work, the churches grew stronger in their faith. Mas dumami pa ang nagtiwala kay Jesus bilang Tagapagligtas.

Lois served as a major influence in molding the faith of her daughter Eunice, who then molded the faith of her son Timothy. These ladies made a difference in the life of this young man who played a crucial supporting role in Paul’s ministry. This proves to us how the faith of one person can bear fruit in the succeeding generations. A tiny pebble can create a thousand ripples in the biggest pond.

Think about the power of influence na magagawa mo sa buhay ng ibang tao. Leave more than just an inheritance of silver and gold. In the future, endeavor to leave behind a legacy of faith.
