The God Who Is Just
At ang mga sumpang ito’y ipapataw ni Yahweh sa inyong mga kaaway na nagpahirap sa inyo.
Deuteronomio 30:7
“It’s not fair,” is what we often think when:
∙ Someone less qualified than you is promoted.
∙ Someone who didn’t do as much work as you is praised.
∙ Someone guilty of a crime is given an unfitting punishment or set free.
∙ You aren’t noticed for your efforts at home or work.
Ang katotohanan ay minsan hindi patas ang buhay sa lahat. ‘Yan ay dahil tao lamang ang mga kasama natin. Like you, they make mistakes in judgment, resulting in less-than-ideal outcomes that can cause anger, bitterness, and resentment.
Despite this, I have the most amazing news for you: There is a God who is just; the God of the Bible. As mentioned in Deuteronomy 30:7, He would punish Israel’s enemies at the right time — His time! The Bible even says in Psalm 37:9 that the Lord is for justice and will deal with the wicked. And even if we suffer from injustice in this world, take heart and do not lose hope! He will judge the wicked in the next life and ensure they get what they deserve (Revelation 20:11–15).
But while these facts are encouraging to hear, God’s justice doesn’t just apply to others. It applies to us too. Those who do not repent of their sins will forever be away from Him, and those who put their faith in Him will enjoy eternity with Him. If you still haven’t done so, why not surrender your life to God who is just so you can move forward in His joy, forgiveness, and grace!
LET’S PRAY
Dear Jesus, thank You for being the God Who fairly treats the righteous and unrighteous. I acknowledge that I am a sinner. I turn away from my sinfulness and put my trust in You, my Lord and Savior. I surrender all my anger, bitterness, and resentment toward the unfair people and circumstances I have experienced. I forgive everyone who has unjustly treated me. Please make things right in Your perfect time. Amen!
APPLICATION
Identify the unjust people and unfair circumstances you’ve encountered. Surrender them to the Lord and trust Him to make it right in this life or the next.
