The Ministry of Obscurity
For almost 2 years, naging routine niya nang mag-serve behind the scenes kahit walang nakakakita. But because of one instance na nakaligtaan niyang magligpit, napagalitan siya ng admin head. This made him feel so discouraged that he wanted to quit serving
Have you ever felt like what you are doing for the Lord doesn’t matter because nobody notices it? Maybe you’re the one who sets up chairs before the service, washes the communion cups, or volunteers behind the scenes. You show up, week after week, without recognition or applause. Sometimes, it feels like being invisible.
In a culture that idolizes spotlight ministries, it’s easy to believe that only loud faith matters. But God sees you and more than that, He values what’s in your heart as you serve Him.
Sa Bible, maraming examples ng ganitong klaseng faith and service — ’yung widow na nagbigay ng dalawang kusing, ang batang lalaki na nagbigay ng five loaves and two fish, and the woman at the well.
But even those silent years, ang bawat taon, ay bahagi ng Kanyang pagsunod.
Your ministry in obscurity is valuable and rewarding. And every time you choose to show up, you’re building something eternal.
LET’S PRAY
Panginoon, thank You for reminding me that You see me, even when others don’t. Turuan Mo akong maging tapat in doing things in obscurity. I realized that I don’t need the spotlight, just Your smile and approval. Amen.
APPLICATION
Take time to encourage someone serving behind the scenes like a volunteer, a janitor or anyone serving in quiet places. Ask God for a prayer and verse to share with them today.
