Worth the Wait
Deuteronomio 30:2–3
When you hear someone say, “God will bless you,” what comes to mind? Is it of Him immediately giving you all your needs, wants, and desires at the snap of a finger? Or do you envision a process of patiently waiting for God’s will to happen?
Often, it’s the first example we hope for. We want God to be like a genie who’ll grant our every wish after we pray for it. We don’t often think of Him as a God of perfect order and timing.
In Deuteronomy 30, Moses told the Israelites that God would restore them as a nation if they repented from their disobedience. Back then, just returning to the motherland from nations they were exiled to took months! They didn’t have cars, buses, or trains like what we have today! Every Israelite had to journey on foot through the desert’s intense heat during the day and set up camp during its icy, cold nights! The point is, it wasn’t easy, and God’s will didn’t happen instantly for them.
Take heart if you’re struggling to wait for God’s restoration and blessings to happen in your life. May pamamaraan na dapat mong sundin at tamang panahon na dapat mong hintayin. Seek the Lord and ask only for His will to be done. It will be worth the wait.
LET’S PRAY
Dear Jesus, though I’m excited to receive the blessings You promised in the Bible, I struggle with Your timing and will. Please help me to be patient and wait on You.
APPLICATION
What circumstances, events, or results are you waiting for? Do you think they’re aligned with God’s timing? Surrender them to Him and wait on His best for you.
