Sinasabi na ang tao ay puwede raw maka-survive nang hindi umiinom ng tubig for about three days. But can we live even just one day without hope? Welcome to our new series, “Sa Panginoon, Laging May Pag-asa!”

Puspusin nawa kayo ng Diyos na siyang bukal ng pag-asa, at nawa ay pagkalooban niya kayo ng kagalakan at kapayapaan sa pamamagitan ng inyong pananampalataya, upang mag-umapaw ang inyong pag-asa sa pamamagitan ng kapangyarihan ng Espiritu Santo.

Mga Taga-Roma 15:13

How do you feel kapag nakakakita ka ng water fountain? Refreshing, ‘di ba? How about fountain shows … napapa-“wow” ka rin ba sa very colorful dancing fountain? Fountains are very entertaining, masarap panoorin at nakaka-relax pakinggan. Pero alam ba ninyo na may mas mahalaga itong nagagawa para sa atin? 

According to Mr. Google, falling water releases negative ions into the surrounding atmosphere. Negative ions are negatively charged molecules that are also called vitamins of the air as they have antioxidant properties. Once we inhale them and reach our bloodstream, negative ions are believed to produce biochemical reactions that increase levels of the mood chemical serotonin, helping to alleviate depression, relieve stress, and boost energy. 

Think about it. Kung nakakakuha tayo ng ganitong benefits from a fountain, whether it be man-made or natural, how much more kay God? 

Romans 15:13 (TPT) describes God to be the “the fountain of hope.” And He can give us even more than the scientific benefits that a fountain could give. He will “fill you to overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace as you trust in him.” If a fountain can emit negative ions into the atmosphere that are beneficial to our physical well-being, how much more can God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, continually surround your life with His superabundance until you radiate with hope?

But there is one condition to obtain that hope and that is to put our trust in God.

Are you in a seemingly hopeless situation? Never lose hope. Trust God! At gaya ng walang tigil na pagbulusok ng tubig ng fountain, God’s eternal hope shall be gushing in you and through you.
