Where Do We Find Peace?
May nakapagsabi na “Peace begins with a smile.” With the Holy Spirit in us, we can bear the fruit of peace and really smile.
Have you heard others say these things? Or have you said these things yourself? Maraming naghahanap ng peace, lalo na ngayon. Sometimes it feels like there are so many things happening in our lives, in our country, and around the world. But where can we find peace?
Peace can be found by spending one-on-one time with God, in prayer or in reading the Bible. When the worries and cares of life become overwhelming, mas lalo tayong kumapit sa Panginoon. There are many verses about peace that we can meditate on and hold on to, such as Isaiah 26:3 (NIV), which says, “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” You can also read 2 Thessalonians 3:16 and John 16:33. Keeping God’s Word in our hearts helps to remind us that He is ultimately in control of all things, and whether good or bad things happen, we can trust Him to be with us and be our Source of Peace.
Peace can also be found within a loving and safe community of faith. Being part of a church, fellowship, or Bible study group gives you the chance to receive (and give!) help and encouragement. In these safe spaces you can share your worries, pray with others, get advice and guidance, or simply find comfort by being with people who share your faith and understand your struggles.
Whatever you are facing right now, kapatid, know that you are not alone. May you find peace in God’s embrace and in the care of fellow believers.
Thank you for joining us again in our series “Fruit of the Spirit.” See you tomorrow!
LET’S PRAY
Lord, You are the Prince of Peace. Thank You for Your Presence that gives me peace, and for using others as Your instruments of peace as well.
