Ngunit kung sinuman sa inyo ay kulang sa karunungan, humingi siya sa Diyos at siya’y bibigyan, sapagkat ang Diyos ay nagbibigay ng sagana at di nanunumbat.

Santiago 1:5

New season. New beginnings. A good future. A happy family. A healthy well-being. Ilan lamang iyan sa mga pinapangarap ng marami sa atin. Added to these, we might have a “bucket list” o mga bagay na gusto nating magawa bago tayo mamatay. These are the things — possessions or circumstances — that, we think,  will make our lives better.

Sadly, we don’t always get what we want. We encounter problems that can easily wear us down and discourage us. And so we try to take matters into our own hands. Ginagawa ang sariling diskarte para maresolba ang mga problema. Pero kung iisipinnatin, madalas ay nabibigo tayo at hindi maayos ang kahihinatnan nito.   

No wonder it says in the Bible, “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails” (Proverbs 19:21 NIV). t If we plan without the Lord’s purpose in mind, it will fail in the end. This reminds us how important it is to ask for God’s wisdom in everything we do. Huwag natin hahayaan na ang takot o pag-aalala ang maging dahilan para magmadali tayong  magdesisyon. Take a deep breath, pause, and seek God’s wisdom. Ask His guidance regarding the decisions you will make. 

God is generous and more than willing to help you.  Don’t be shy in asking Him because He will reveal the answer to you. Trust Him and by faith, He will carry you even through the toughest situations you will experience in life.
