Anong reaction mo habang naghihintay? Can you trust God and thank Him even when it seems that nothing is happening? Welcome to the third part of our series, “Gratitude to God in All Circumstances.”

Isipin mo: gutom na gutom ka sa isang fast food restaurant tapos maririnig mong,”Sir, are you willing to wait for 15 minutes?”

And just like that, we carry this mindset into our walk with God. We pray, and deep inside we think, Lord, sagutin Mo agad ha. Kung puwede, today. Ganyan ang pinagdaanan ni Habakuk. He wasn’t just waiting — he was wrestling. “Hanggang kailan, Yahweh?” Hindi ito simpleng tanong. It was the cry of someone exhausted, desperate for justice. He wanted God to act, and he wanted it done now.

It was also unexpected.

Instead of comfort, God told him something confusing: that He would use a nation more wicked than Israel to bring justice. Paano nangyari ‘yun, Lord? God’s plan didn’t make sense to him.

But in those confusing times, something changed. Habakkuk’s desperate cry turned into deep trust. His complaint transformed into worship. What started with “How long?” ended with “Though the fig tree does not bud… yet I will rejoice in the Lord.” (Habakkuk 3:1718, NIV)

Waiting on God doesn’t mean He’s not moving. It’s in the waiting that He’s doing His deepest work. God is shaping you in ways you can’t see yet.

We hope you’ll join us tomorrow for the last part of our series, “Gratitude to God in All Circumstances.” In the meantime, we hope you’ll share this devotion to your family and friends.

LET’S PRAY

Lord, help me trust not only in Your timing, but in Your wisdom. Amen.

APPLICATION

Trusting God is a process. Habang mas nakikilala mo Siya, mas lumalalim ang tiwala mo. Start today: spend some quiet time in His Word. Be honest in prayer. And wait with expectation — not just for the outcome, but for God’s presence in the process.
