It could be for a relationship, business, or work, only for it to fail and crumble in the end? You feel exhausted and empty, and you can’t find peace and satisfaction in everything you do.
Psalm 127 gives us the hard truth: nothing built outside of Jesus will ever last. Kahit anong achievements, leverage, o favor pa ang meron tayo to metaphorically “build a house,” our efforts will be in vain unless the Lord builds it.Hindi nito sinasabi na ’wag na tayong mag-effort dahil wala rin namang magiging kuwenta ang gagawin natin. Instead, this psalm encourages us that even before we begin any endeavor, i-surrender natin ito sa Panginoon. Better yet, let our plans come from Him. Our efforts, without God’s blessings, would only lead to restlessness. Jesus should be the foundation of everything we do if we want to succeed.
Noah was able to finish the ark even if it seemed like an impossible task dahil ang Diyos ang nagplano at nag-utos nito. Solomon was able to build the huge temple because of God’s help. Nehemiah was able to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem because God put the task in his heart.
By our own strength, limited tayo. Mauubos at magfe-fail tayo but when we start with the Lord, He will finish what He has called us to do. True success comes from acknowledging that God is the Master Builder and He gives us the strength, wisdom, and favor to finish each project.
LET’S PRAY
Lord, forgive me for the times when I follow my own plans instead of laying them at Your feet. Ituro Ninyo po sa akin ang gagawin and give me wisdom and strength to follow You. Amen.
APPLICATION
List down the top 3 things you’re currently working on. Pray over each one, surrendering them to God. Ask Him for strength to stop whatever He has asked you to stop, start whatever He has asked you to start, and allow Him to establish the work of your hands and guide your steps.
