Apples of Blessings
Fuji apple is sweet and refreshing, but a cherry apple is tiny and pretty. A bit sour, but delicious too. A strawberry apple has a bright red color with pointed bottom, is aromatic and crisp as well. May green apple pa na medyo maasim, pero puwede ring ingredient for a pie. Apples, in general, have benefits ranging from improving brain and gut health to preventing cancer and lowering the risk of diabetes.
Magkakaiba man ang hitsura nating mga tao, lahat tayo, may qualities that make us a blessing to others. God created us that way. Biniyayaan Niya tayong lahat ng iba’t ibang personalities, talents, and spiritual gifts for us to use them, to benefit ourselves and others as well. That’ why the Apostle Paul kept asking God to fill the Colossians with the knowledge of God’s will so that they may live a life worthy of the Lord and please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:9–10). When we live as Christ leads us, and when we use our talents and spiritual gifts to serve and bless others, we will be like apples — sweet, refreshing, pleasing, helpful, and useful. When we also appreciate the uniqueness of others, we encourage them to live a life of fruitfulness and abundance.
LET’S PRAY
Thank You, God, for creating each one of us uniquely gifted and instruments of Your blessings.
APPLICATION
Make an inventory of your talents and spiritual gifts (see 1 Peter 4:10–11; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11, 26–31; Romans 12:4–8; Ephesians 4:11–16). Consider how you can use these gifts from God to be a blessing for God’s glory.
