Welcome back to our series “Finding Rest and Comfort in the Lord”. Kahapon, we realized that Jesus has lifted our burdens of guilt and shame, and we will fully experience that when we accept His offer of a personal relationship with Him. Nagdatingan ang mga tao mula sa iba’t ibang bayan at sila’y lumalapit kay Jesus.

Lucas 8:4

In 2017, Rappler published an article of the 16 most popular terms that surfaced over the social media and were used by many. Isa sa mga ito ay ang phrase na “Pagod c aqoe” which can be translated to “Pagod ako.”

Kasabay nito, tumaas din ang statistics ng stress levels ng mga tao. Kinakain ng traffic o social media ang ating oras. Puro work o kaya naman ay madaming ginagawa sa school kaya lahat ng tao ay naging sobrang busy. The sad thing is, we became too busy, and our time for the most important thing became smaller.

Are you struggling to spend an unhurried time with the Lord? Nagiging totoo na ba sa iyo ang biro na nakatulog ka habang nagpe-pray at kinabukasan mo na nabanggit ang “Amen”?

Sabi sa Lucas 8:4, “Nagdatingan ang mga tao mula sa iba’t ibang bayan at sila’y lumalapit kay Jesus.” Kung nagagawa ng mga tao noon na dumayo mula sa malalayong lugar para lumapit kay Jesus, may we also find time every day to come to Him. Dahil sa Holy Spirit na ever-present, magagawa nating lumapit sa Panginoon anumang oras natin gustuhin.

May we be reminded today that though we are busy with so many things, Jesus is our priority. He is first in our lives so let us go the extra mile para sa ating Panginoon—sa lahat ng aspeto ng ating buhay. And when we come to Him, we will find rest.
