God loves us and He wants us to love one another. Join us today in our series “God Commands Us to Love One Another” to find out from God’s Word on how we can love others.

Kaya nga, dahil kayo’y hinirang ng Diyos, minamahal niya at pinili para sa kanya, dapat kayong maging mahabagin, mabait, mapagkumbaba, mahinahon, at mapagtiis.

Whenever you hear news of people’s houses razed by fire, destroyed by typhoon or earthquake, or people in need of operation due to a rare disease, or children who’ve become orphans, how do you feel?  Paano kung hindi mo lang sila napapanood sa TV but nakakasalubong mo pa? Do they move you to tears? Do they move you to act in compassion? Do you help in any way you can?

God is compassionate. We see how compassionate God is through His Son Jesus. Because of His love and mercy, Jesus healed the sick (Matthew 14:14) and performed miracles (Matthew 14:15-21). Most of all, Jesus died for our sins (Roma 5:8). Because Jesus is compassionate to us, He wants us to be compassionate to others too. He wants us to respond to those in need. In this way, naishe-share natin ang pag-ibig at habag na natanggap natin mula sa Kanya. We can do it because He did it for us first.

We can help by giving financially, or we can volunteer to bring aid. We can also pray for those who are in need, or we can open our homes to those in need.  Maraming paraan to show our compassion but the question is: Kapag tinatawag tayo para tumulong, nakahanda  ba tayong tumugon?
