Today is the last part of our series “Jesus, the Great Healer”. Ang pagkakasakit ay laging may dalang takot. Paano mo ito haharapin? Alamin natin sa ating devo ngayon.

O Diyos ko! Diyos ko! Bakit mo ako pinabayaan? Sumisigaw ako ng saklolo, ngunit bakit di mo ako tinutulungan? Araw-gabi’y tumatawag ako sa iyo, O Diyos, di ako mapanamag, di ka man lang sumasagot. Ngunit ikaw ang Banal na pinaparangalan, at sa Israel ikaw ay pinapupurihan. Ang mga ninuno nami’y nagtiwala sa iyo, sa iyo umasa kaya sila’y iniligtas mo. Tumawag sila sa iyo at sa panganib ay nakawala, nagtiwala sila sa iyo at di naman sila napahiya.

Awit 22:1–5

Namugto at halos pikit na ang singkit na mga mata ni Bea. Lumobo ang mukha, paa, binti, at iba pang bahagi ng katawan niya. Mukha raw siyang alien, sabi niya. Soon after, nahirapan na siyang huminga. ‘Yun pala, minamanas na siya. Ganito dinescribe ni Bea ang kanyang karanasan sa nephrotic syndrome, a kidney disorder.

An “alien” symbolizes the horror of the unknown. Na-invade ka na rin ba ng takot at worries? King David can relate with you. David was known as the man after God’s own heart, yet this man of faith had to wrestle with his faith! The Book of Psalms shows na nilabanan niya ang kanyang fears by recalling who God is, His faithfulness, at lahat ng miraculous works Niya. Binalikan niya ang track records ni God! In David’s remembrance, napalakas ang faith niya (Mga Taga-Roma 10:17).

God also armed Bea with faith to defeat her fears. Nephrotic syndrome can be treated but it’s also life-threatening. So, Jesus reminded Bea na Siya ang Diyos na nagpagaling sa mga bulag, pipi, bingi, at pilay (Mateo 15:30–31); at ang Diyos na bumuhay kay Lazaro (Juan 11:43-44). Naisip ni Bea, Kung nagawang magpagaling ni Jesus noon, kaya rin Niya akong pagalingin ngayon! As of this writing, Bea has been healed for more than seven years. Kung hindi man daw siya gumaling, she would have already been with God in heaven, and that would actually be more favorable for her. So, whichever happened, praise God!

What do your aliens or fears look like? Is it a positive diagnosis from your doctor, a negative report on your finances, or isang malabong future? Anuman ang mga ito, they are no match for your God!

This may be the end of our series, but you can always keep in your heart and believe that Jesus is the Great Healer. Defeat your fears, and let Jesus heal and set you free.
