Have you ever wondered what makes Christianity different? Sa dinami-rami ng religion sa mundo, why would anyone choose to become a Christian? It may be one of the toughest but an important question that needs to be answered. At ang sagot sa tanong na ito ay nakasentro sa kung sino ang Diyos ng Cristianismo — Jesus, the Holy One of God. Christianity is different because Jesus is different. He is holy.

But what is holiness? Ang salitang holy or holiness means sacred or set apart. It is the most prominent attribute of God that differentiates Him from other so-called gods. Paano ba ito ipinakita ni Jesus? Ayon sa Juan 6:69, natiyak ni Peter na si Jesus ang Holy One of God after seeing His miracles and hearing His message.

Mababasa natin sa Juan 6:1–12 ang isa sa pinakamagandang miracles na ginawa ni Jesus Christ. Ito ang pagpapakain sa limanlibong tao. This miracle showed that Jesus has immense power and compassion. And after feeding the 5000, Jesus then proclaimed the message of salvation. Sinabi ni Jesus sa Juan 6:51, “Ako nga ang tinapay na nagbibigay-buhay na bumabâ mula sa langit. Mabubuhay magpakailanman ang sinumang kumain ng tinapay na ito. At ang tinapay ay ang aking katawan na ibibigay ko upang mabuhay ang sangkatauhan.” He pointed people to their real need. What they needed was not another piece of bread, but they needed eternal life. At itong eternal life ay kanilang mararanasan sa pamamagitan ng kanilang pagtitiwala kay Jesus Christ bilang kanilang Lord and Savior (Juan 6:29).

Many people refused to follow Jesus after hearing His message (Juan 6:66). Hindi nila matanggap ang banal na mensahe ng kaligtasan. But Peter recognized God‘s holiness and embraced it. He acknowledged the truth that only Jesus can provide eternal life. He is not just any other savior — He is one of a kind, the only one sent by God to save us. He is Holy.
