Welcome back! We’re glad you’re with us today for our series “The Lord is My Shepherd” kaya simulan na natin ang devo natin ngayon.

Dumaan man ako sa madilim na libis ng kamatayan, wala akong katatakutan, pagkat ika’y aking kaagapay. Ang tungkod mo at pamalo, aking gabay at sanggalang.

Awit 23:4

Walang sinuman ang ligtas sa mga pagsubok. Walang sinuman ang hindi nakaranas ng takot. Kahit ang mga sanggol na wala pang exposure sa mga nakakatakot na palabas ay dumadaan sa takot kapag nilalagay sa madilim na lugar. In fact, a study conducted among the British shows that “a whopping 64% of adults in a new survey have admitted they are still scared of the dark.”

Death has always been portrayed in movies as dark. Pitch black. Creepy, ominous, nightmarish. Para masabi mong, “Dumaan man ako sa madilim na libis ng kamatayan,wala akong katatakutan,” ibig sabihin, malakas ang iyong pananampalataya sa Panginoon. Ang pagtitiwalang ang Diyos ay kasama natin in spite of our proximity to death shows we are plugged in to Him and that we are assured of His love. How awesome it is to know that God helps us even in the face of death! And as if His presence isn’t enough, the Psalmist continues in verse 4, “your rod and your staff they comfort me.” Not only does God accompanies us, He also comforts us!

Our Shepherd does not only calm our fears, but He also blesses us with abundance. Iyan ang pag-uusapan natin bukas. So tune it tomorrow for our series “The Lord is My Shepherd”.
