Ang mga bagay na panlangit ang isaisip ninyo, hindi ang mga bagay na panlupa.

Saan ka nakatira? Whatever your answer might be, alam mo bang temporary residence lang natin itong earth? Balang araw, we will spend eternity with Jesus in heaven—that is, if we have put our faith in Him at tinanggap na natin Siya as our personal Lord and Savior. When that time comes, lahat ng mga bagay sa mundong ito ay mawawala. No more material things tulad ng pera, trabaho, bahay, kotse, at iba pa.

The Apostle Paul reminds us na huwag ituon ang ating mga isip sa mga bagay na panlupa o sa temporal things. Hindi naman natin kasi madadala ang mga ito sa langit. God wants us to think of eternity and of things na may eternal value. While investing in properties, making money, pursuing our dreams, working, and studying are all important, the Bible teaches us that it is more important to focus on things that will matter when we get to heaven.

God wants us to look forward to heaven. To do that, we must spend time investing in spiritual things tulad ng prayer, worship, reading the Bible, pagse-share ng Good News sa ibang tao, pagtuturo ng Salita ng Diyos, pagmamalasakit sa ating kapwa, pagdi-disciple, at pagpe-pray for the sick. Doing these and more helps build our character so we become more like Christ in the way we speak, think, and act. Gawin nating example si Jesus kung paano Siya namuhay sa mundong ito. He only lived for thirty-three years, but He made sure that those years were well lived. Why? Because Jesus set His mind on things above at ginawa Niya kung ano ang kalooban ng Ama para sa Kanya. Hindi Siya nasilaw sa mga bagay sa mundo because He knew that heaven is way better. May mas maganda at mas mayamang lugar pa tayo na pupuntahan kaysa dito sa lupa.
