Kaya mo bang patuloy na magtiwala sa Diyos kahit hindi pa Niya sinasagot ang panalangin mo? Let’s listen and find encouragement from today’s devo, the last part of our series, “How Big Is Your Faith?”

… Ganito ang kanyang sagot, “Ang pagpapala ko ay sapat sa lahat ng pangangailangan mo; lalong nahahayag ang aking kapangyarihan kung ikaw ay mahina.”

2 Mga Taga-Corinto 12: 9a

What do you know about the Apostle Paul? Dati siyang kaaway ng early Christians. Pinahuli at pinapatay niya ang mga ito. That is, until Jesus Himself appeared to him, which changed the trajectory of his life. From being the worst persecutor, naging Christ follower and God’s messenger si Paul.

Marami ring pinagdaanan si Apostle Paul afterwards. He was imprisoned, shipwrecked, flogged, faced many kinds of dangers, experienced hunger, thirst, and fatigue, and many more! Contrary to what some prosperity gospel preachers promise, hindi dumali o guminhawa ang buhay ni Paul nang magtiwala siya kay Jesus.

But through all his hardships, Paul never once complained nor turned his back on God. Nagpatuloy siya kahit mahirap. He admitted that he had a “thorn in the flesh,” na tatlong beses niyang hiniling sa Diyos na tanggalin. One would think na sa dami ng kabutihang nagawa ni Paul, God would say yes. But for reasons only known to the Lord, He said no. Yet the apostle still received God’s answer in faith. With confidence and humility, he said, “I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong” (2 Corinthians 12:9b–10, NIV).

Ikaw, kaya mo rin bang patuloy na maniwala kahit hindi sagutin ng Diyos ng “oo” ang panalangin mo? Can you, like the Apostle Paul, look up and with tears in your eyes declare, “His grace is enough”?
